‘3D MGSE – more efficient mass production of small satellites by implementing the process optimization approach’

In the world of upcoming mega constellations of small satellites, we should care both about the efficiency and the quality. One of the key elements that should be implemented is the process-oriented approach, i.e. something widely used in other industries such as automotive, where the delivery time matters, and any delay is very expensive. Also, for many companies where the high-volume production means dozens of devices manufactured each year these processes might be simply overwhelming.

To reduce the development time, we need to find the way to improve the development process. First of all, the company has to implement the process approach - at least partially, where the repeated steps are well defined and can be improved.
