SAJJAD GHAZANFARINIA. FOUNDER, FAZADOTIR

Sajjad is a Senior Satellite System Engineer working on Cubesats as his main interest in Space Systems. With this interest, he started fazadotir, a startup on Space Education and Outreach. He planned different on job training programs for Satellite Engineering based on Experts' Lessons Learned and designed and developed Hands-on for Students to know Space Technology better. He and his startup is now
working on Cubesat Constellation to cover multiple missions to improve the Cubesat Industry in region and fertilize businesses related to this system in the near future.

Presentation Synopsis:

‘AMAJ: A Multipurpose Constellation for Pockequbes’

This presentation is about a constellation of three satellites, one Cubesat and two 1P Pocketqubes, trying to support a simple IoT mission and test some of  the technologies in orbit. Each pocketqube will have a Payload for IoT and also a short range omnidirectional InterSatellite Link (ISL) module which lets  them to communicate with the Cubesat easily. These 1P Pocketqubes will be loaded into a Cubesat which not only own a similar Payload and ISL module as the Pocketqubes, but also a Communication Link for the Ground Control, for Release Command and Monitoring.

The Cubesat, called ‘the Mother’, will own then, the smallest possible platform of a Cubesat to support the whole platform and Pocketqube Deployer in an  oversized 1U structure (however, this concept has not been proved yet), the first of such Platforms to be developed in a Collaboration of two companies  from two countries (Iran and Argentina). As the executive part of the project, one of Pocketqubes will be developed in a competition for university students  and the other will be developed by NextGen of competition organizers. The whole system will operate in orbit for at least 3 months, so the components should be compatible with this orbital life.
